What is MLK Day and why do we celebrate?
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day is an official federal holiday in the United States, observed on the third Monday of January. It serves as a tribute to the influential civil rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and his enduring impact on society. The annual celebration is scheduled to occur on the Monday nearest to January 15th, which marks Dr. King's birthday.
This holiday provides an opportunity to honor and commemorate Dr. King's significant contributions to the advancement of civil rights, equality, and nonviolent activism.
OUR MISSION
Unity Weekend celebrates Dr. King’s legacy by bridging students, athletes, and corporations. Through mentorship, technology, education, and community engagement, we create pathways for future leaders while strengthening ties between business and higher education.

We are dedicated to empowering current and future student as they explore exciting career opportunities. Through dynamic networking and corporate mentorship, we aim to ignite passion, inspire growth, and invest in the leaders of tomorrow. Participants will benefit from educational workshops, community service projects, and sessions focused on economic literacy, ensuring a well-rounded experience that fosters both personal and professional development.
